Christ Is First (CIF) Productions Is the Certifying Organization
In our role as a certifying organization, we carefully review submissions for consideration of the President's Volunteer Service Award. Once approved, selected recipients will be notified and formally recognized during CIF's annual Presidential Honors Ceremonies or may opt to have their own personal presentations amongst friends, family and supporters. We aim to host 2 per year.
One in February regarding our youth division, being in partnership with Kidz Korna, NFP, and the second one, CIF Presidential Honors taking place in November, being in partnership with the Queens Awards Ceremony. The President’s Volunteer Service Award is used to honor individuals who positively impact communities around the country through their service and who inspire others around them to take action, while working to solve some of the most difficult problems facing the United States. These upstanding citizens deserve recognition and the gratitude of the entire nation.

CIF Productions was created in 1994. For 30 years, we have been a guiding life naturally and spiritually to accommodate the homeless, vulnerable families and children around Chicagoland. We're providing resources, opportunities, mentoring and training by way of ministry, media, multi-programs, music and community outreach, along with our sibling companies, Kidz Korna (KKO), NFP who prioritizes in Violence and Abuse initiatives and Queen Rewarded Projects that's geared for Women and Girl Empowerment initiatives.
Washington DC Tours, The White House, AA Museum & More
CIF Productions also host exploratory out of town fieldtrips to Washington D.C. The goal is to visit The White House, the African American Smithsonian Museum, and several other monuments along with visiting our Girl Tek Partners as we are linked to them for Honoring Legacy Heroes. We host annual projects for Harriet Tubman in March and for Dr. Martin Luther King in January. This year is our 30-year milestone, and we were asked again to kick off a celebration performance at the Chicago Bulls Stadium, opening up in their prime-time hour on behalf MLK's legacy and more. Volunteer Hours Available for Your Company Needs as Well
In order to complete our important work, we rely on help from volunteers to raise awareness about our organization. That’s why we are creating a virtual volunteer program to help teens earn service hours from home. Other hands-on outdoor volunteer projects are still available and are currently open to everyone as well. The Meaning of a Certifying Organization
From the PVSA Program
A Certifying Organization is an organization that has been granted authority to give out the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards (PVSA) to volunteers.
Certifying Organizations verify and certify that a volunteer has met the requirements to receive a PVSA within a 12-month period specified by the Certifying Organization.
Only Certifying Organizations can certify volunteers’ eligibility for the PVSA and order awards.
Certifying Organizations must be established and operate in the United States, its territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Northern Mariana Islands), or on overseas U.S. military and state installations.
Additionally, Certifying Organizations must receive or facilitate volunteer service.

PVSA HISTORY
The President's Volunteer Service Award is a civil award bestowed by the President of the United States. Established by executive order of Former President George W. Bush and the Presidential Council in 2003. He challenged each American to make time to help their neighbors, community, and nation through service.
PURPOSE
The purpose for the President's Volunteer Service Award is to honor the volunteer works of individuals, families and organizations throughout the U.S.
